This opinion piece, “Reimagining the Paper”  explores other forms of research outputs that could have a positive impact on reproducibility.

The latter half of my semester has focused heavily on data visualization so I really enjoyed this overview of a talk given at OpenVis.

Much of my semester has also focused on the Digital Humanities. In one of my classes we have been using The Historian’s Macroscope by Shawn Graham, Ian Milligan, and Scott Weingart. They have an open draft available online as well as code, datasets, and essays – it’s a great resource if you’re starting out in the topic.
