Research Data Management and Sharing MOOC

The MANTRA team at the University of Edinburgh and the CRADLE team at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill have come together to create a new Coursera MOOC called ‘Research Data Management and Sharing’. The course begins March 1st and runs for five weeks, although participants are able to complete the course at their own pace. There is no formal credit for the course, but for a fee course participants can request a Statement of Accomplishment.

The majority of the course will be taught by Dr. Helen Tibbo from the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Sarah Jones from the Digital Curation Centre will teach the third week’s course on ‘Working with Data’. The course will be monitored by staff from both institutions and there will be quizzes and peer review assignments as part of the coursework.
