Kristin Briney’s “Copyright & Research Data” flyer is a great resource for a quick and clear introduction into the topic.

We were lucky to have Thomas Padilla visit our campus this past week. Here’s a conversation he had with Ixchel Faniel in dh+lib on “Community Oriented Research Data Curation and Reuse” that I had on my reading list this past month.

I include Cameron Neylon’s work a lot in my portions of the roundup, but I enjoyed his discussion of ‘reproducibility’ and needing to be clear and intentional when talking about these ideas.

This is an older one, but Bertram Lyons asks “What is the Chemistry of Digital Preservation?”. Although the article is targeted to archivists, I think it’s valuable for anyone who wants to be better at managing their data or digital ‘stuff’ to know and understand the physical structure, lifecycle, and context of the media they are are using and how that may affect its preservation.
