We’ve Upgraded: See What’s New With MINDS@UW

We’re excited to announce that MINDS@UW has been updated! The new version, which went live on October 24, features richer search and discovery functions, includes more details about specific submissions that are easy to access for any user, and works better on mobile devices.

For longtime users of the site, the layout is not overly different, but it now includes features that should facilitate easier browsing. Here’s a breakdown of what is new and improved:

  • In addition to seeing the five most recent submissions on the homepage, users can now “view more” recent submissions to be directed to a comprehensive list of MINDS@UW submissions that are organized chronologically.
  • The sidebar navigation tool has been enhanced to include more browsing and discovery options for the content available through MINDS@UW
    • Users can browse all of MINDS@UW, within the UW System Schools, and within communities and collections, and then narrow their searches by issue date, authors, titles, and subjects.
    • The Discover function allows users to search through specific authors’ works, as well as by subject and issue date.
  • Collection administrators are able to see statistics on usage, search, and workflow.

We always welcome feedback about how we’re doing—if you have any questions, comments, or ideas about MINDS@UW, please contact us!
